Ginny’s Bunkbed Build
Saint Maud’s first assisted build project! Ginny came to us with a great idea, a solid drawing and a truck full of Ash that was cut on her family’s property. Perfect.
Ginny’s a maker and she’s good with her hands - but she didn’t have a ton of woodworking experience for a project of this scale. Over the course of 10 days in the shop with us, she’s gotten a great handle on lots of new techniques. We covered most of the basic joinery options in just this one piece and now she’s got all of those in her head for the next idea.
This started as a good sketch and a pile of rough lumber. We milled, cut, jointed, planed, joined, shaped, sanded and inlayed it all together into something really special her daughter will enjoy years.
This is just our first example of a handmade heirloom made by YOU (with a little help from Saint Maud’s)
